Spartanburg County Peaches Name, Branding Unveiled Ahead of 2026 Season

INMAN, SC (March 26, 2026) — Summer collegiate baseball is coming to Spartanburg County this May with the arrival of a team built around a name that already belongs to the region: the Spartanburg County Peaches.

The “Peaches” identity draws from both local baseball history and the region as a whole. The name was previously used by minor league clubs in the area and reflects Spartanburg County and Inman’s longstanding role as one of South Carolina’s most prominent peach-growing regions.

The Peaches will play their home games at Jim Everhart Field in Inman, a longstanding local venue that will provide an intimate, family-friendly setting for summer baseball.

But the Peaches are more than just a name.

They represent a fully realized local college wood-bat brand designed to reflect Spartanburg County from the ground up.

At the center of the identity is the club’s “SC Peach” mark—a peach icon featuring the letters “SC,” representing both Spartanburg County and the state of South Carolina. The mark is designed to be simple, bold, and instantly recognizable, serving as the foundation for the team’s caps, uniforms, and merchandise.

The primary wordmark draws inspiration from classic peach crate labels, with “Spartanburg County” set on a diagonal across the chest, blending agricultural heritage with a timeless baseball aesthetic.

On the field, the Peaches will feature a royal blue, peach orange, and golden yellow color palette, creating a look that is both traditional and distinctive. The uniform set pairs the diagonal “Spartanburg County” script with the SC Peach cap, giving the club a cohesive visual identity from day one.

“This is a name and identity that truly belongs to this area,” said Blue Ridge League Chairman Greg Sullivan. “From the history of the Peaches name to the symbolism built into the brand, everything about this team is rooted in Spartanburg County.”

The Spartanburg County Peaches will compete as part of the Blue Ridge League’s 2026 season, joining a growing group of clubs across the Carolinas and Virginia focused on high-level wood-bat collegiate baseball and strong community connection. Other South Carolina clubs in the league include the Joanna Hornets, who play in a historic textile mill stadium, and the newly unveiled Greenwood Flying Monkeys, who will take the field at Legion Field, the former home of the Greenwood Braves.

“With the Peaches, we wanted to build something that felt authentic to this community,” Sullivan said. “The Peaches identity reflects the history, the agriculture, and the personality of Spartanburg County. We’re excited to bring that to life at the ballpark and create something people here can take pride in. Our goal is to deliver a minor league–style experience in a small-town setting at Jim Everhart Field.”

The team will be coached by Spartanburg American Legion athletic director and head baseball coach Henry Lech. Western Carolina alum Skylar Horsley has been named the club’s first general manager.
