Queen City Corndogs Capture Inaugural Blue Ridge League Championship
The Queen City Corndogs are the inaugural Blue Ridge League champions.
Queen City completed an outstanding 2026 campaign with a 32-8 overall record, defeating the Carolina Disco Turkeys in the Blue Ridge League Championship Series to claim the league's first-ever Championship Cup.
The Corndogs sealed the title Tuesday night behind a historic performance from Tim Hitchcock, who blasted three home runs in the championship-clinching victory.
Queen City was one of the league's most consistent teams throughout the summer, finishing atop the regular-season standings before carrying that momentum into the postseason.
The Blue Ridge League congratulates the Corndogs' players, coaches, staff, and fans on an unforgettable championship season and thanks every team, community, and supporter who helped make the league's inaugural season a success. We look forward to building on an incredible first year in 2027.
