Blue Ridge League Championship Series Set

The Queen City Corndogs and Carolina Disco Turkeys have clinched spots in the first-ever Blue Ridge League Championship Series and will finish the regular season with the league’s two best winning percentages in league play.

The top-seeded Corndogs enter the best-of-three series with a 17-2 league record and a 29-7 overall mark. Both of Queen City’s league losses came against the Disco Turkeys, adding another layer to the championship matchup.

Carolina claimed the No. 2 seed with a 23-8 league record and a 26-9 overall mark. The Disco Turkeys also produced a franchise-record 16-game overall winning streak during the middle of the summer.

The series opens Monday, July 27, with the Disco Turkeys visiting the Corndogs at Queens University. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

The series shifts to Rich Park in Mocksville on Tuesday, July 28, for Game 2 at 6:30 p.m.

Should a deciding third game be necessary, the teams will return to Queens University on Wednesday, July 29, with first pitch again scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
