Blue Ridge League Announces Opening Weekend Schedule

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Blue Ridge League opens its 2026 season this weekend with a four-day slate of games from Friday, May 22 through Memorial Day.

Opening night is set for Friday, May 22, when the Uwharrie Wampus Cats visit the Carolina Disco Turkeys at David F. Couch Ballpark in Winston-Salem.

The weekend continues Saturday with two games, as the Marion Hungry Mothers visit the Wampus Cats at Don Montgomery Park in Albemarle, while the Davie Crocketts travel to face the Disco Turkeys at Couch Ballpark.

Marion and Uwharrie meet again Sunday at Don Montgomery Park before a Memorial Day doubleheader around the league. The Disco Turkeys will visit the Hungry Mothers at Hurricane Stadium in Marion, while the Wampus Cats travel to Mando Field at Rich Park to face the Davie Crocketts.

The Memorial Day game in Mocksville will also feature fireworks, giving fans an early-summer holiday matchup to close out opening weekend.
